The Soon To Be "Infamous" Ivy Tavern
Posted on August 12, 2003 in LifeAAHH YES...it has been surveyed, tested, and gratuitously approved!! The Ivy Tavern is a splendid local establishment that offers not only fine ale and spirits, but a ample menu of superb dinner choices that make your palate weep for more! I've had the pleasure of patronizing the Ivy on two different occasions. The first was just for drinks, Newport Storm on tap for me and Bass Ale on tap for Tara (my beeotch; term of endearment). Easy prices, cool atmosphere, friendly staff. I also enjoyed gazing at the basketball clock, watching it spin, roun' and roun' and roun'....
The second time was with my Medium Buddy (Web) and we had rounds of Guiness and Storm. We then had the pleasure of ordering mouth-watering dishes of delicious proportions!! All the selections are hand made and are as fresh as can be!!
I can't say enough about this local establishment that is located on Hope Street on the East Side of Providence. (right near Hope St. & Rochambeau St. 401-421-3888)
Tonite will be the 3rd installment of our many more to come visits. Feel free to stop in and join in for a quick pint and a hearty meal....dont forget to bring your drinking hat! Peace.

As Derrek predicted, the food was very good the beer was cheap and we had a great time.
The infamous ivy tavern, the food was great but a little messy. I had to enjoy my burger with a fork and knife. Price is reasonable. This place gets a thumbs up!
Yea the place does have a little too much pesto sauce. BUT still it is a great dinner.
