It’s soapbox time again..

I wanted to wait for the smoke to cleared over the Capture of Santa Clause [Sadam] before I chimed in with my .02 cents for a reason. There is a fine line between victory and defeat in this country, and you will never get everyone to agree. That’s also one of the greatest things about this country, you can say whatever you want, but nobody has to listen.

Bush had to do what he had to do. We could have saved countless lives at Pearl Harbor if President Franklin Roosevelt would have just gone in there and whopped ass. He had intelligence that he could have acted upon, but in this country, to go to war you need popular vote. Something that’s hard to get these days without 4,000+ Americans dying in a horrible tragedy.

There WERE weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Unfortunately Sadam had about 4 months advance notice of when we were coming to move them. That is assuming that he watched CNN. He could have strapped it to the slowest donkey in Iraq, slapped the ass and watched it fumble all the way to Syria.

If we could have acted with swift diligence and raided Iraq without notice, catching Sadam and the WMD’s would have been a lot easier, saving countless American lives. But there are reasons why we have the checks and balances in this country, and I appreciate them.

.. But Eric this war is all about oil !! Ok, I’m not ignorant to the fact that Oil is in abundance in Iraq. I’m also not ignorant to the fact that the Iraqi people didn’t see a dime of that money unless they were chiseling away on some 80-foot high marble statue of their Dirt bag Slumlord Sadam. Sure we may reap some profits from ousting Sadam, but what war is fought without some sort of personal gain? Freedom, Personal Security, Sanity??

You can’t try to tell me this world is not a better place now than it was 3 years ago. Yeah the economy sucks, but we will get there again one day. Maybe someday instead of people bashing Bush saying he dragged us into a war. They may say.. "Hey you know what? Bush had balls. He did what needed to be done to protect his people, remove a regime of terror, got some WMD’s off the streets, and pulled us out of a downward spiral of an economy."

Mind you, all this without getting head from a fat intern named Monica. Not even a Hand job !!
