Guinness Pint Glass - Guinness is GoodResearchers at Wisconsin University (bless their hearts) have discovered that a pint of Guiness a day offers protection against blood clots comparable to what you’d get from an aspirin a day. Plain old lager doesn’t seem up to the job, and as an added boost, Guiness is loaded with iron. Now if we could just get our HMO’s to cover our bar tabs.

"Guinness is Good for You" (their popular 40's advertising campaign) was more realistic than the Lock Ness Monster
"The original campaign in the 1920s stemmed from market research - when people told the company that they felt good after their pint, the slogan was born."

Guinness were told to stop using the slogan decades ago - and the firm still makes no health claims for the drink.

A pint of the black stuff a day may work as well as an aspirin to prevent heart clots that raise the risk of heart attacks.

Time to get healthy Boys. I wonder if Irish Car Bombs are extra healthy?
