The single reader of this site probably remembers that the most recent addition to our house was a kegarator. Our original goal was to "save money" by drinking keg beer rather than buying bottled beer. After a little over two solid months, where do we stand you ask? When she, Black Mariah, arrived in our lives my friends, roommates and I welcomed her with open arms. We drank kegs of beer with a fierce tenacity that resembled a bunch of potheads in a Twinkie eating contest. Since then we have begun to slack a little bit, slowing down to an our alcoholic pace of a keg a week. We just finished our 6 barrel of beer in just over 2 months [70 days] ... we are well on our way to alcoholism and we realize this. Pabst (2), Coors Light, Rolling Rock, Newport Storm Amber Ale, Honey Brown. If we quickly do the math out it’s 6 barrels * 162 beers per barrel is 972 beers. 972 beers in 70 days. Which breaks into about 13 beers a day … Shocked? I was too. After I had pondered going to my first AA meeting I thought how we had consumed three of those kegs in three separate days with our "999 challenge", Memorial Day weekend when beer was just non-stop and the one barrel of beer we just annihilated as soon as she arrived. With savings averaging about $35 a keg we only need about 10 more barrels to make back our money on the initial investment. With our current pace .. we should make **ROI** [Return on Investment] by the end of the summer and be in Rehab in early fall. Cheers.
