The Red Sox are on a blazin’ hot streak right now .. quickly gaining ground on the Yankees and widening their lead for the wild card.

It’s fantastic to watch them play and win, it’s just as fantastic to watch the Yankees get ass-raped 22-0 by the Indians, but im not getting my hopes up.

Only 3 weeks ago, I would talk to people daily whom I know are avid Sox fans and they had all but claimed to had given up on the season. Those very same Sox fans today are now proclaiming “This is the year that we’re going to catch those damn Yankees.”

Have we not we learned yet? This happens almost every year people!!

We are Wile E. Coyote and the Yankees are the road runner. Every time that damn bird comes racing down the road we have a seemingly flawless plan, yet somehow the rocket doesn’t fire, the spring doesn’t release and the safe _always_ falls on us.

I’m not saying in any way that I don’t want the sox to catch the Yankee’s, quite the contrary.

When I was a kid I hated the road runner. I wish for once that damn coyote would catch that fucking bird and throw some Franks Red Hot sauce on it, and then get a decent lawyer and sue the shit out of the ACME corporation.

That would be so awesome, as would us frying up some overpaid Yankees and peppers on Lansdowne street as they get knocked out of the postseason by the Angels or better yet .. the Sox. But im not getting my hopes up.

Keep it in the pants boys, remember the fix is still in .. Its going to be a long and wild ride to October.
