Cut that Meat!
Posted on January 17, 2005 in SportsPeyton Manning just isn’t cutting it in the playoff’s, but Super-Dillon sure was with his 144 yard performance in his first post season dance of his life.

That was probably the most exciting football game I have ever watched, I can’t wipe this smile off my face.
After all that hype last week about how the Colts would bitch slap the Pats like an abused wife, the Pats defense put their middle fingers in the air and pitched a big FU out to every who doubted them, yet again.
I think Teddy Bruschi is without a doubt the most underrated player in football right now as he and the other boys spent an evening at the Razor intimidating and physically dominating the Colts into the snow covered ground. Bruschi recovered 2 fumbles and one was more like a mugging than a recovery as Teddy just ripped the ball out of the hands of Dominic Rhodes.
Right after the game ended as the players were running off the field, a field reporter for ESPN was jogging along with Bruschi and asked him “It looked like you guys were able to rattle them early ..”
Interrupting the field reporter in mid sentence a fired up Bruschi quickly shouted “Rattle them early?!? What game were you watching? We rattled them all game! They scored 3 points!”
This is a huge victory for the Pats, I don’t have any doubt in my mind that they can ride this new head of steam right through Pittsburgh and Philly.

Bruschi was certainly out to prove a point. This quote is the best -- espcially the snow part.
"I'm trying to think of what excuses they're saying in their locker room right now," Tedy Bruschi (two fumble recoveries) said afterward. "What rules do they want to change now? Maybe it'll be, 'We can't play a game if it snows.' I don't know. I was just tired of it. I was tired of hearing this and that, talking about the last game and how we didn't win the game, they lost the game by giving the ball away. Last time I checked, turnovers are when defenses take it away. And we just took it away again today. To hold that offense to three points, I mean, their players are great. I respect what Peyton Manning did this year. I respect those players. Sometimes you've just got to be quiet and play football."
"Peyton Manning just isn’t cutting it in the playoff’s..."
I would like to point out that Manning actually played fairly well, but, among other things, his receivers weren't helping him any.
Well, I wish the Pats all the best the rest of the way. I'm not a Steelers, Falcons, or Eagles fan. Plus, Vinatieri is from good ol' SoDak.
Peyton looked like a kid whose big brothers were about to lock him in the closet - scared. He rushed plays, at times he scrambled with just 2 rushers on the line.
Edgerrin James runs out of bounds instead of plowing over Randall Gay; come on James! He will be leaving town anyway, I guess he didn't want to get hurt and ruin free-agency.
Guys over the middle not making catches, guys just not making catches ... weak.
Hope they come back next year so we can just shut them out.
At least Peyton Manning now has the entire offseason to work on his fantasy insurance adjustor team!
YES!!!!
Once again, good coaching beats great players. Once again Indianians have to go back to watching the corn stalks grow.
Good Coaching? How about Great coaching.
Great Players? Certainly could be argued after Sundays game.
Even great coaches need players to execute and play well. The coaching staff here in New England is amazing but the players are just as amazing.
