Tom Brady did a fantastic job on Saturday Night Live, however the writers of SNL did not and should be led into the back room of the SNL studio and shot. Brady looked just as poised and in control hosting the show as he does on every sunday during football season. As he put it

“This job is not much different than my day job, spent in front of millions of people -- entertaining them”
Brady was singing, dancing and modeling his way into a post NFL career.

The writers of SNL should be ashamed of the product they put on the field, or TV as it would be. Belichick would have walked into the sketch room as the writers were working, took one look at the sketches and gave them all Wet Willies and Indian Sunburns for such a poor writing performance. He would have then made them watch countless hours of old classic SNL films pointing out each sexual innuendo, pun and punch line.

“See how it’s done? What the fuck is this crap you call comedy? ‘The Falconer’, seriously?” [insert loud slapping noise]

You mean to tell me that there was some idea worse than that which did not make the sketch room cut?

Belichick would have had Horatio Sans doing laps around Gillette field weighed down with sandbags after fumbling his line during one of his only two skits. But guess who jumps on the ball saving the skit – that’s right Brady, as he urges Horatio to skip that line and get on to the next by beginning it for him. Horatio .. there are cue cards and you only had 5 fucking lines? Even a drunken cracked out Chris Farley could remember 5 lines.

One of the funniest skits I’ve seen in years wasn’t actually written by the SNL folks by rather by Robert Shmigel .. as the true light shined on sexual harassment. Brady and geeky Co-worker approach hot female office bimbo, each asking her out .. the Awkward co worker gets slapped with a lawsuit and Brady ends up grabbing a tit and getting a date.

Musical guest Beck I thought did a decent job as well, but Beck is an acquired flavor -- so I will understand if some people call the performance bad. Regardless, it was better than trying to listen to some hacked up rap song with 60% of the lyrics changed because they are profane.

Well done Brady.
