This isn’t one of my obligatory I_have_been_so_fucking_busy_with_work messages .. but if the sole reader of this site cares where I have been for the past 15 days .. there you go, now you know.

If you know me, you know that I’m allergic to just about everything on this friggin planet and this summer has been no diffrent. I have been sniffing, sneezing, itching my eyes and have generally felt like shit for a solid 2 months now.

One of my favorite stories to tell is about a visit to the allergist I had a few years back. My allergies were bothering me back then also so I scheduled an “allergy test.” I had no clue what to expect – was it a blood test or would they bust out some super magnifying glass and look at samples of my spit or other bodily fluids to solve the mystery of my allergies.

Nope.

You lie on your stomach -- take your shirt off then they put these samples allergens on your back and poke you with a needle and see what turns red. Real fuckin’ scientific.

I forget the exact times but there supposed to leave “fermenting” for 10 or 15 minutes to let your body react and reject the chemicals. During this time you are instructed not to scratch your back or move. Real easy to say.

I think our boys in Iraq should use prolonged allergy tests to crack hardened terrorists and get them to talk. Its fucking awful

So anyway – during my allergy test my doctor decided to take lunch and pick up his dry cleaning before coming back a solid 45 minutes later. Dick.

When he came back his first words were “Woah – oh my that looks painful” as he gazed at my back that looked like a Christmas tree.

Back to today – I was sick of my allergies. And on a recommendation from Lisa and her parents .. I picked up a month supply of Claritin. I have to take a pill every day .. but that (and the 35$ price tag) is a tiny price to pay for daily comfort. So I guess now I am officially on "The Pill.”

Lets give it up for Claritin – w00t!!.
