Playing with house money.

This years Patriots season has been a rocky road. Only weeks after winning the super bowl feelings of elation went to horror when Bruschi had a stroke and we thought he was lost forever.
Once the season started we put that behind us and started strong and soon the injuries followed – a mountain which was too steep to climb. This is when some of the national media (and even local fans) gave up saying this season was blown. I believe this was so because we were used to perfection, and this season was anything but.
Slowly but surely players started coming back and the team increasingly got better and finally is back on a roll, we are still waiting for 2 of our best players to return (Light and Harrison) and it seems like they are poised to upset a lot of people.
The fact that this team was able to pull the season back from our lowest moment (3-5 fittingly after the Broncos Game) goes a long way in highlighting the grit and determination of this Patriots team and how well they are coached.
The playoff’s are often referred to as the “second season” because one loss sends everybody home – no matter if you were undefeated previously or you were kicking the champs when he down after slipping and falling.
What a lot of people don’t realize is that when you knock the Champ down, he will get back up swinging and he wont be happy.
Denver Broncos fans have been calling WEEI all week boasting on how they beat us earlier in the season thus proving the sentiments of Tom Brady last week when he said they are still disrespected.
I see this team as playing with house money right now .. There is no possible way that any NFL team gets decimated by major injuries in every position except at Quarterback should be in the position that the Patriots are in right now. (Christ there were 3 weeks where our starting running back was Heath Evans, Heath fucking Evans!)
If the Patriots were to lose on Saturday, not that I think they will, it will not be seen as a failure of a season at all. Injuries always happen and sometimes the load is too much to bear. This team has clawed their way into the postseason keeping their chin up the entire way. We are finally off the ropes and our nose is bleeding but our fist is clenched and is ready to fly ..
Go Pats.

Even though I am now living well within Broncos territory, my money is on New England.
Although, the weather is supposed to be nice here tomorrow. It just seems wrong to play a New England/Denver game in temperate conditions. The worse the weather the better, I say.
year's, not years
