Providence to Beantown
Posted on February 01, 2006 in LifeI am just finally getting settled in at the new apartment in Boston. Everything still feels odd it feel like I’m living someone else’s life. I don’t know where the forks are, I don’t know where the closest hardware store is and I have no clue who my neighbors are.
But with that said everything is good, the move was good we had a lot of help in both Providence and Boston and thanks again to everyone who helped.
Right now I’m stealing internet from somebody in the hood, her name is Karen and she has no clue how to secure an internet connection. Today we get our own cable and internet access .. an then its just left is getting little odd’s and ends.
In the downtime from moving boxes I have had some time to add some more stuff to this site. Check out the subscriptions on both the entire site (on the top right) and also the subscribe to comments in the comments area which will inform you when people comment on stories.
I’m also noticing that the newest version of MT (3.2) has done a great job cutting down on the spam which is highly enjoyable.

Site's lookin' mighty fine, Web! I'm looking to make the move to MT3.2 just for the (what I hear is) excellent anti-spam feature. They've even ceased development on MT Blacklist because the author says it's no longer necessary.
Thanks Mike, the admin on 3.2 makes blacklist (which I used on the old site) look like a Flintstone-esque device. Blacklist was slow and clunky and the MT admin is fast and crisp .. although I haven't had to use it that much. I'm sure the spammers will get thier hands on this site sooon enough.
