Each year I try to wrap up my year and its always interesting to go back and read them .. to remember the highlights and lowlights of the year.

2006 Started off rocky .. my roommate Derrek’s old apartment caught on fire and he spent the holidays in my attic in my old house in Providence. We both decided that we wanted to move north to Beantown – so after a month of looking for a new place we found one.

I had a lot of great memories in the 5+ years at that place off Hope Street. Memories that I'll never forget and I need to thank all my friends and roommates over the years for all those great memories.

The early part of this year I spent adjusting to life in Boston, without the intricate knowledge of my surroundings. Adjusting to the new sites, sounds and in particular the smells of Boston. Specifically, everything -- everything smells … worse.

April brought us the “Dream Challenge III: Boston” where a new round of competitors whom were willing to test the limits of their courage and attempt to consume way to many hotdogs. Every time I do it I say it’s the last time, but then I find myself buying 300 hotdogs in April again.

May brought us Maroney – during the NFL draft the Patriots chose this goofy Wildman from Minnesota as he scampered his way into Patriot fans hearts.

June I traveled to Vegas with the Coletta family to celebrate Steve’s 21st birthday party – while we were out there we took a ride out to the Grand Canyon where I snapped a few photos.

July was the downfall of this site where I adopted a new hobby, a 80+ gallon saltwater aquarium .. there was tons of research and work to be done and the aquarium has never looked better. It’s a ton of work and worry but as anybody has seen it will tell you .. you can easily just sit and stare into it for hours on end.

In August my brother surprised me with an impromptu gift that sat unopened for a few weeks .. upon its unveiling in September I was shocked to know I was the proud new candidate for a new liver owner of a Jager Tap.

October brought us the end of The State of Corruption, my longtime friends whom have been rocking the asses of people for a decade plus. The show was a great end to a great run by a band whom should have gone national a long time ago .. proof that the music industry is the toughest nuts to crack. You need to be extremely lucky.

The end of the year was the normal hodgepodge of Football, Holidays and interesting weather patterns as always.

Notable Deaths in 2006:
James Brown, Gerold Ford, Raymond's Dad (aka Peter Boyle), Peter Jennings, Joe Barbera, Ed Bradley, Red Auerbach, Cory Lidle, Doug White,"Krikey" Steve Irwin and Michael Richards .. well I think he wishes he died.

Favorite Moment of 2006:
Had to be easily in Vegas with Steve and Lisa at the top of the Palms Hotel living it up after a long night spent at the tables taking as much from Vegas as possible at Roulette and Blackjack.

End of year wrapup:
All in all it was a pretty quiet and prosperous year for myself and I can’t wait for the hectic year of 2007 which is shaping up to unfold as the most exciting year of my life. What do I mean by that? Well I guess you’ll just have to stay tuned to find out.

Thanks to everyone for a great year, I wish you all a safe and happy 2007!
